On Mother's Day it was quite nice here in Delaware with temps in the mid 80s....warmest day of the year so far, and has since cooled again. My wife decided she wanted to spend Mother's Day at the beach, so we packed up the 4 and 7 year olds and loaded all of the beach gear into the Colony Park. The kids sat in the way back as they always do, and I folded down the back seat so all of the beach stuff could just slide in. My father in-law got me this neat blanket called a neat-sheet. The sand does not stick to it. I layed it down and put everything on it. When we got home, I just had to shake it out....yay. The shore is about a 45 minute drive from our house, so it's just enough for a nice cruise. As usual, I got to entertain a few beach goers who had questions about the woody as we were loading/unloading. All in all it was a great day, and we are looking forward to more in a few weeks when school is out for summer.

I will be in the Tour from Charlotte to Charleston, WV and then I've got to head back to Georgia.

I'm thinking the Hot Rod Power Tour also, doing the Charlotte to Knoxville leg of it, wish I had time to do more of it. Going to drive the 96 Roadmaster Estate...

I don't know if it matters to you but the Tour is running in the opposite direction - Knixville to Charlotte.

Not sure my group will make the drivers' meeting - we have been to a number of them and never loved them - but look for us as we will be in a group of ratty old cars!! :D

Interesting. I did not know that there would be only one. I will talk to my crew and see what they want to do.

Will be heading to Knoxville TN for the denominational general assembly the week of June 17th. Will be getting the A/C fixed this week. :D Should be about 10 hours of driving each way. Glad we are not having to use the dearly departed Tracker. ;)

Me and my son are heading out in our 61 Chevy for our annual "guy trip" to bowling green for the hot rod reunion.
