32 to 50 Miles Per Gallon - Am I missing on something here? That article is close to 65 years old! And could someone please explain to me what the "x miles for x price" thing means? I'm a bit lost on it, Does it refer to the durability of the car? I heard cars weren't as durable back then, Compared to now when my Dad's Caravan has 138-139k miles on it.

@12137: There's an odd bird on the left for London. Was that one converted for the steering wheel to be on the right side of the car? And I wonder how parking that model of land boat would be in London?

 

Is that a Desoto Adventurer (Sedan) at the far left? It looks like one. My neighbor was working on one last year, Same finish type too if it's a champagne-ish color.

 

Same basic body as a Desoto, but that's a 59 Chrysler New Yorker.

 

Is this a cave near Las Vegas?
