How's it going everyone? My name is Jason Parks. I recently received a 54 Chevy Wagon as a gift for selling a house for my father. I guess he thought of it as a commission payment. Anyhow, it is a two tone with a gloss cream top, satin burnt orange bottom and tan interior. I'll post pics later when I get some uploaded. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep it or sell it. I guess I'll need some advice first on it's value and what people think of it. I come from the 67-72 C10 side so I really don't have any experience with these wagons. I guess that's all for now, I'll get back on shortly and get some pics up and hopefully get some good feedback. Thanks for the time.
WOW! Welcome to the SWF, Jason. That's a BEAUTIFUL station wagon. (Before seeing the pics, I was expecting something of a 'project'....) Start marking your calendar for the cruises.... Marshall
I agree with Krash! To have a wagon like that is a dream for a lot of us! Welcome and I say cruise that wagon around!
Guessing on maybe 'moderate' level modifications, I'd say possibly $25-30K, maybe more? I do know the value of these early 50's GM wagons has gone up significantly in the past year or so.
NOW NOW NOW Jason. Don't do anything rash except love that new ride and keep the lug nuts waxed for ah good long spell. to the party BTW. I lean more toward the Mopar part of the hobby but I recognize SWEET regardless of the manufacturer when I see it. If I'z you the 1st thing I'd do is go Kiss your Daddy 'N hug 'em and tell him how much you love him for as long as he can still hear you say it. And then I'd take 'em to the Ruth Chris Steak House over on Westheimer rd. in Houston and buy him the biggest 'n best steak in the house and have him wash it down with at least one bottle of Opus-1. That meal will be ah long way from free but he'll know after that evening that you really do fer sure love him. We'll all need a report after that meal too yeah know? Happy Trails, Jer
