I cruised the Zeph up to the Goodguys show in Nashville today. It was nearly 400 miles round trip and rained all the way there, but it cleared up about the time I got there. There was no shortage of wagons!
Yeah, I didn't take a pic of every wagon there, but when I got home I had taken 49 pics and all but about 5 were wagons! Remember when we used to cut the rear wheel wells out of '55's to fit bigger tires? We did my buddy's hardtop in my driveway. There was a '55 barn find there complete with hacked out wheel wells, tattered white tuck-n-roll and a tin snipped hole for the 4 speed shifter...Good times...
I like the Ford Panel, but I hate painted bumpers. Wish I had known about the show. I would have driven over. Wife was in NOLA visiting the grandchild, and all it did here was rain, so I couldn't work on the car.
I wouldn't call that a "hack job", yours was nicely done. We did my buddy's with tip snips, then gobs of bondo to "finish" it...There must've been close to a 1,000 cars. It was at the Titans LP Field and by the time I got there I had to park as far away from the entrance as you could get...Here's a couple non-wags. A friend in High School bought a factory black, 413 Max Wedge from the original owner just like the red one with 52K on it for 200 bucks!
Cat, you'll have to fight me first and also there's a couple of wagons I wouldn't mined in my shed you guys have to many Stateside
