These are all in the same place along with about 150 other old vehicles.

It is depressing seeing all these in this state.

I agree fannie...and I'd go as far to say that "depressing" is an understatement.

Geez, how does such a new Roadmaster get stuck in a field like that? Doesn't look like a wreck unless all the damage is on the far side.

This isn't a 'auto salvage yard' or even a 'junk yard'. It's just a few acres with a bunch of old rusted vehicles on it......

If you're going to operate a decent yard, you have to take steps to protect your stock. Just throwing the vehicles in among the trees is wasting your investment. If you can't afford some gravel to set them on, find yourself another business....

My son and I saw a roadmaster wagon in a yard here that would have made most of you guys cry. The thing was in real descent shape and had only had 92,000 miles. The reason it was in the junk yard is because it was part of an estate and no one wanted it so the kid's scrapped it. (Sad) So the point is lots of cool rides end up in the junkyard because no one thinks they are worth the effort to even sell or fix.

That's actually a Caprice. While it does look generally clean, I see rust through on the rear wheel well and rot in the D-pillar so perhaps Mother Nature got the best of it. If the floor pans and brake lines are all rotted, that may be why it was junked. Still has a ton of great parts to give up to save others though.

That this is still in a lot better shape than my roadmaster (at least from a glance) If you shot a photo of mine from that same angle you could almost see through it!

Here are a few more I have spotted recently:

A well-loved Caprice stopped by the neighborhood.

This one's not really tired or worn, but you don't see these everyday.

Here's a 1965 NewYorker wagon in repose on a city street in downtown Macon.

Sorry for the glare, I took these from inside the car.

Found in a wrecking yard waiting for the crusher, this 61 Ambassador was saved and it about to be restored. With a battery and fresh gas it even ran with no work being done to it. A rare one it has a/c, power windows and power locks! Found on Facebook.
