    Last summer going from Florida to Illinois on the same 4 lane highway I have traveled for years I got off too soon for the motel we stay at. When I realized it I had to go a long way till I could cross over and go back to the interstate where I'd gotten off. But I couldn't go onto the on ramp there because it was closed for destruction. Had to continue again out of my way to find another way back to the main highway west. Must have ended up driving 25-30 miles out of my way just by getting off wrong exit.
    Another time I missed an exit and went miles on down the road. When I realized it I mentioned it to my lovely wife. She answered "oh I knew that but I didn't want to bother you."----------- To the moon Alice! One of these days to the moon!:slap:

    Since the old one has been buried under a pile of Craigslist ads for cars that aren't station wagons, maybe it's time for a new "anything" thread.

    The other day I was walking down the dirt road on the way to the lake, and I saw a boy about 8 years old who was sitting on an old bucket, trying his best not to cry.
    I stopped and said to him "little man, its a beautiful day. You should be out swimming, or climbing trees or playing with your dog instead of moping around on the side of a dirt road."
    "Whats bothering you on this fine spring day?"
    He choked back a sob and replied:
    "I'm sad because I can't do what the teenaged boys do."
    I sat down beside him and we both cried like babies.

    Daisy and Cooper enjoy a special treat from their owner while waiting patiently in the car. There is only one ice cream cone to share between the two dogs and Daisy always goes first. The reason why is perfectly clear once you get to know Cooper.
