A neighbor dropped by today to enjoy a sunny spot in my front yard.

A harmless black snake about 3.5' long was sunning himself beside the front porch of my downtown Orlando house this morning.
They eat mostly insects, so I'm happy to have him around.:thumbs2:

Oh yeah, its 79F and mostly sunny today.

Amazingly here in the NW Florida boonies we've had very few snakes. At least that we've seen. A few small Coral snakes which are not good. But mostly a few of those black snakes. These have only been spotted after being gone away for awhile. They look at me and slither off.
In almost 20 years no gators or even many insects. Surprised us since we heard all of those stories about Florida critters.
Oh yea, some ferrel hogs, ferrel cats, and normal woodland creatures because we have woods across the road and a game preserve at the end.
The two legged animals we see slithering around town worry us a lot more!
