Well folks as much as I hate to say it We have decided to move back home. I retired here in Western Washington at Fort Lewis Now called JBLM Joint Base Lewis Machord. after 25 years in the Army and because my mother was here I stayed... well Mom passed away Friday the 13th December 2013 and now there is nothing holding us down. we are going to either Cullman Alabama or Greenville South Carolina have not nailed it down yet. So I'm liquidating all my Projects and only taking south a few so I sold My 65 Fairlane Wagon to My Friend and he said he will keep it going as a family cruiser and I will be looking for another Wagon once we get planted in the south. I'll keep in touch....
Yeah, warmer and dryer. We call Vancouver, BC the wet coast. You can always tell a BCer on the beach, by his webbed feet. LOL!!! We'll see ya when you get settled. Good luck!
Good luck on your move! I go through Cullman, AL on my way to Cape San Blas, FL. I need to move south too....
Good luck with your move, Edward. Remember we're never more than a couple clicks away, and we LOVE to spend OPM......... Marshall
Really sorry to hear about your mom. I went through the same thing a month before you. Like you, that leaves me with no family in the area. Family in Florida is encouraging me to move there, but where I live, is where my friends are. I wish you all the best with your move and hope you are happy with which ever choice you make for your new home.
Sorry about your mother. Happy for your move and future in a warmer climate. Hope your wagon friend will become a member here and you will soon find another wagon of your own. As was mentioned, we're only a click away.
Sad to hear about your Mum Edward and I hope you find a wonderful town to enjoy your retirement in lets know where you end up
Wholly Cow you guys (and gals) are the best. That's why I like it here soo much Thanks it's going to take some time to Liquidate all my Stuff and narrow down to a size I can afford to Haul. I'm going to post a wanted add on the board maybe I can send cash to a lucky seller and find My Wagon before I even get there.
You spelled Haul with a capital. Watch out for those U-Haul trailers, they've been really slack about maintaining them. Especially the ones with brakes. Lots of bad press up here.
Let's clarify this even more. Since Dogfather is moving down south that would be a Y'all Trailer. Y'all have a safe trip and y'all come back ya hear?
