    Hello all,
My Name is Abe and I'm located in California. I decided to join this forum in hopes that the membership here can offer advise / suggestions and guidance with my project.
I recently took ownership of my dads (family)'65 Chevy Impala Wagon. He purchased new back in '65 and was a daily driver until the mid eighties, at which time is was garaged and used as storage. It sat there for years then my brother decided to restore it. Needless to say, he didn't get very far. Basically it was exposed to the elements and rust showed up.
Overall the wagon is in pretty good shape and in need of some TLC. I would say that is pretty complete in regards to parts, trim and the 327 4 barrel (#matching). My goal is to restore it back to original as much as possible. Our family has many memories (as you can imagine) with the wagon, and I think it would be nice if dad could see it in its glory again.
Looking forward to being a member here.
    Thank you,
    Abe

Good luck with the restoration. I like the fact that it's been in your family from day one. Go for it!

Welcome to the SWF, Abe. You're the second guy in as many days joining up with a '65 Impala wagon. We've already got a few members here with those mid-late 60's GM wagons, so we should be able to help you out a bit.

Sit back, do a bit of reading some threads in the various sections, and jump right in to the discussions - or start your own!

:Welcome: Abe! Document your progress with photos too! I'm more familiar with Chevy wagons from the '70's, but if I can help I sure will!

Fellow Chevy lover and CA neighbor,

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I will take the advise and search through the many threads and discussions, maybe the answers to my questions could be already discussed.

Notice near top center is a SEARCH function. Maybe type in a few words for what you are looking for could save some time. Enjoy.
