nice one Cat but so true bells and whistles all the way, why do they bother is there any enjoyment really. without being in touch with nature and having plane simple fun with family and friends exploring they may as well stay at home

When Dennis Miller had a show in the middle of the night, he once made a cultural comment on Americans. And, this pic fits in, especially when you consider that many of these behemoths also drag a small car behind them. "When Americans went to the Moon, they did so in typical American fashion, with a house and a car." ;) You can even get them with satellite TV ! :yahoo: now THAT'S camping ! getting in touch with Nature ! :p

    ^ ^ ^ Agreed ^ ^ ^

As far as camping goes, I've done my fair share of real camping. And I do mean REAL camping. Food, often caught in a stream, and cooked over a wood fire. Wiping with leaves. :49: A tent, that always seemed to leak, and forgetting my blanket on a couple of occasions... Nonetheless, Being able to see the stars clearly, taste the fresh-from-the-trees air, and hearing nothing but crickets, maybe a stream, and the wind. The only electronic devices are the flashlights... Camping.

#9771----- I can barely remember the street cars of going to the big city, Peoria, and it seems like others in towns throughout central Illinois many years ago.
Driving must have been much different on those streets.
It's for these memories I thank you and others posting in this thread.
I try not to comment much here so it doesn't interferre with the real purpose.

Any time I want to see streetcars I just have to hit Toronto. The fleet is alive and well!

Mike we downunder call these Trams and on Monday I was on the Gold Coast you guys may know it as Surfers Paradise I hadn't travelled this particular street in the last 5/6 weeks and guess what tracks are laid . The last time we had streetcars/trams and only in Brisbane was around 1962/3 but down south in Melbourne Victoria they still run to this day just a little history
