Weather was beautiful on Saturday for the Fall Hershey AACA car show, and there were some very cool wagons in attendence. I took over 900 pictures on Saturday and they can be viewed at the links below in five albums. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...073741855.100001111775214&type=1&l=dead8ff442 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...073741856.100001111775214&type=1&l=7212f7d82d https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...073741857.100001111775214&type=1&l=41a0714aa7 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...073741858.100001111775214&type=1&l=2ff973dc54 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...073741859.100001111775214&type=1&l=ecc3eb019c Below are JUST A FEW of the wagons you'll see in the albums. The 63 Impala wagon is a factory 409. As you look at the photos here and in the albums, keep in mind that most of the cars parked on pavement were in the car corral and were for sale. Cars parked on the grass were all in the show and were not for sale.
Yes, it was in the car corral. I hear it was there for sale last year too. There are more pictures of it in the third album among the links above. I thought it might have been your wagon.
Heres a few more for those who do want to browse through all the pics to find the cars with the long roofs.
Heres one I was especially interested in seeing at Hershey since I had heard alot about it over the years. The above is a "Chrysler Estate Wagon". It is believed to be the only remaining example. For years, I had heard about an unrestored "Chrysler Beach Wagon" sitting for decades in a barn in Leesburg, Virginia. A buddy of mine worked with a woman who's family owned the car and the barn, and who I believe had bought it new, for taking trips to beaches in Maryland and Delaware. A few years ago, it was dragged from the barn and sold to the current owner who restored it. He was very lucky that it was complete even though it required a total restoration. Heres a link to the car being pulled from the barn about 10 miles from me. There are more videos about the car on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdxcE8CCdPU
Thanks Jim, No, not mine. Mine has the greenish interior. Plenty of photos if a search is done for 1959 Colony Park. Thank you also for all the great photos. I haven't been to Hershey for about 25 years. Seeing those sure does bring back memories. All the best.... Rick
