I think the Longhorn was actually listed as an 8 1/2 foot bed. They took the standard fleetside long bed bedside panel and tacked a separate short extension piece in between the front bed wall and the front edge of the side panel. If you look close you can see the seam in this pic...

Just mostly wanted to repost picture for modelT :D but I do see the seam in the truck bed (and in truck bed). You may want to circle it in the picture for ModelT because somehow I think he may be a little distracted :rofl2: I had to find what you were talking about quick, Krash, because my wife was looking over my shoulder saying "That don't look like station wagons to me!" :banghead3:

I explain to her what we are talking about in this thread and even click back a page to show her other post. Guess what is at the top of page I click back to...Tedy's post with the "Hood ornament" and then the comments following....Don't think I presented my case very well! :banghead3:

Now I am confused. I thought this was about unusual Ford trucks. Now KK and 1 tireman post pictures of HOOTERS girls. Actually I believe I have heard about them someplace else. :rofl2:
I hesitate to even comment about a crack in the bed!:yahoo:

Yup, even today for myself some times it's just better to shut up shutting up about some things when you try to explain .....................

Tedy----------> OH, WAIT!!! DON"T!!! I'll shut up shutting up now!
I don't quite understand. If you shut up that means you quit talking. Sometimes a wise thing to do I know.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
But if you shut up shutting up I take that for no longer shutting up!
Which means you are running your mouth again with the possibility of putting your foot in it. Or your wife's foot!:D:29:
I'll be looking at the long bed Chevy truck and looking for the crack in the bed. Thankfully those photos are so large I can quickly slide it to the right in case I need to.:thumbs2:

YES it was. Actually I like the colors of the truck. Our son is thinking about repainting his 1985 long bed Chevy that way. Right now the colors are red and white but not layed out the same.
