This is kind of like ''Where's Waldo'' but there are wagons.
Capitol Records, located at 1750 Vine Street, is a unique
13-story, 150 ft high-rise cylindrical building that was built
in 1956 by architect Welton David Becket and contractor
    C. L. Peck Co.
The wide curved awnings over the windows of each floor and
the tall spike emerging from the top of the building combine
to give it the appearance of a stack of vinyl 45s on a turntable,
although it was not originally designed with that idea in mind.
The blinking red light on the tip of the rooftop spire spells out
the word "Hollywood" in Morse code every few seconds,
and has done so since the building's opening in April of 1956.
Aerial view of Hollywood with the Capitol Records Building in
the center surrounded by other buildings near Hollywood
Boulevard and Vine Street; view is looking north.
The visible streets are (vertically, r to l) Argyle Avenue,
Vine Street (next to Capitol Records), Ivar Avenue and
(horizontally, bottom to top) Hollywood Boulevard
(not visible), Yucca Street (behind Capitol Records),
and the 101 Hollywood Freeway (upper right).
    February 17, 1956.

View of downtown business area in Oxnard.
Oxnard's proposed metropolitan core area redevelopment
would convert this section of downtown A Street, as part
of a 142-acre landcaped, mall and traffic-freed civic,
business and cultural center with office buildings.

Palmdale Mayor Larry Chimbole says this street scene
Palmdale Boulevard, looking east at 8th Street will be
unrecognizable as the city grows. The master plan calls
for prestigious buildings here and along the Sierra Highway
    frontage. July 10, 1964

Richfield Tower, also known as the Richfield Oil Company
Building, was constructed between 1928 and 1929 and
served as the headquarters of Richfield Oil. It was designed
by Stiles O. Clements and featured a black and gold Art Deco
    façade.
The unusual color scheme was meant to symbolize the
"black gold" that was Richfield's business. Haig Patigian
did the exterior sculptures.[1] The 12-floor building was
    372 feet (113 m) tall, including a 130-foot (40 m) tower
atop the building, emblazoned vertically with the name
    "Richfield".
Lighting on the tower was made to simulate an oil well
gusher and the motif was reused at some Richfield service
    stations.
The company quickly outgrew the building, and it was
demolished in 1969, much to the dismay of Los Angeles
residents and those interested in architectural preservation,
to make way for the present ARCO Plaza skyscraper complex.
The elaborate black andgold elevator doors were salvaged
from the building and now reside in the lobby of the new
ARCO building (now City National Tower).
Richfield Tower was starkly featured in a few scenes of
Michelangelo Antonioni's 1970 film Zabriskie Point, shot shortly
    before its demolition.

    No Parking in Los Angeles?
Photo shows a parking lot packed with parked cars, February 5, 1967
I'm not sure what the photographer had in mind for this photo.
By 1967 they had demolished half the buildings in Los Angeles
for the freeway systems and highrise buildings so I guess what
parking lots were left were at a premium, so what did L.A. do,
they demolished more houses. So I guess what I'm trying to say is
''They Paved Paradise And Put Up A Parking Lot''

A 1951 Chevrolet station wagon proceeds with caution through
this section of Jefferson Boulevard which was turned into a river
by the heavy storm. The Southland received 3.24 inches of rain
    leaving many sections flooded.

Judging by the ripples in the water, this smart guy is backing out. Looks like the other car is dead in the water so to speak.

BTW, great pics you have added:wave:
