I don't think anyone is going to have more of the original car than I do. And yes it's documented.

And yet I still couldn't come up with winning numbers for the lottery:banghead3:

    :D

I'd say let who ever do it, mite put some heat in your grease to re-do the original. The original and a tribute (in the other colours) at the same car show, now that would be cool!(y)

Of course, if its someone on the original race team, then theres nothing to stop them from creating a new original. Bill Maverick has built and raced several "Little Red Wagon" Dodge A-100 pickups since the first one in the mid 60's. If its run by the original driver, the new one would become the one known as "Tokyo Rose".

They are asking for your permission, but can't they go ahead and make the tribute car no matter what you say? I would think yes. Just so they aren't claiming it's the original.

By the way, Killer, you have the coolest wagon in the world!

    David :)

Pretty cool Wagonkiller! Now the cat's out the bag, how about a little history on the car and how it came to be yours! Think it would be a interesting read.

    It's just a beat up old 55 Chevy!:biglaugh:
Now we understand the deal. I might redo mine and call it Tokyo Rose #3

Speaking of tribute cars, this replica of "Old Reliable" showed up at the local cruise in a couple years ago. It attracted alot of attention. Until it wouldn't start and the owner's buddies had to push it. Then his buddies were telling him to cross "reliable" off the side so it just said "old".

I don't know who comprised his "team" I know it had a Jenkins engine. and fred borchert did the trans. Alex Jerrell tuned it I believe at least for a while.

And George drove it and a lot of the pics I have seen he was working on it himself. He is one COOL nice guy!

He took my redone glove box lid to the York Jr stock reunion and signed it himself and also got fred borchert's and Grumpy Jenkin's signatures on it for me as I could not go.

Oh and this is what he sent me

    Scott,
Thanks for the responce. Long story short, I was throwing the idea around about doing a rose colored tribute car and found out that you still had the car. Seeing that the car still exsisted, I'm thinking it may not be a good Idea. Obviously, I'd want yours and Georges permission before going any furthur. Either way, we will be building 56 Sedan Delivery to modern day NHRA stocker specs with a Jr. Stocker appearance. I'd sure like to see some photos of your car.
    Thank You, Mike Szczepanski

So in all honesty it won't be the same. I think I will get ahold of George and see what he thinks.
