Just read this thread. Trying to get caught up on everything. Sorry I'm late. One thing came to mind after the first few posts... BARN FIND!!! Happy [belated] Birthday to your husband, Fannie!
 We had balloons on every pole coming up the street with signs on alternating poles that wished him a happy b-day. He seemed thrilled by all the guests, food and beverages. We set up a mini putt on the front lawn using the grandson's sand box(2x2) with a draw bridge. We ran hot wheel tracks up to the box, across to the draw bridge, through the tower and down the other side, to the hole...he loved it and so did the others and no one fell into the sand. I put a few plastic fish in the frog pond. They had loops on their noses so they could be hooked using the little fishing pole. I was helping Harley catch a fish when a frog jumped up a grabbed the hook, they must have thought it was a bug or something.Silly frogs at one point two frogs were fighting over the hook. And of course we had washer toss...everyone's favorite game. Four of hubby's brothers and their wifes came, a bunch nieghbours and friends and of course our kids, their partners, my mom, sister and her boy friend. About 30-35 people all together. Nice size party. We dined on BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, chicken kabobs, baked potatoes on the barby, corn on the cob, two types of potatoe salad, two types of pasta salad, coleslaw, bean salad, a vegie tray, a fruit tray, several dips and finger foods. Beverages, pop, juice, lemonade, bottled water, several bottles of wine, Rye, Vodka and of course the best beer in the Maritimes...Keiths Hubby having his cake. His cake had Jimmy Johnson Nascar#48. Ladies basking in the sun... The food table before... The washer toss competition... Harley's mom and dad helping him fish for frogs... and a party wouldn't be complete without some one going topless... my nephew showed up with red hair so after a bit of discussion he agreed to a trim... good sport... We finished off the evening with a relaxing sit around the fire... Yeah that's Fannie under the cover. A few of us made it to about 11:30, I was beat, it was an awesome day. I'm pretty sure hubby enjoyed his party.
Looks like you had a great party, Fannie. Hubby was smiling like his face was gonna split! I was surprised to see all the pretty plants and flowers, I thought you lived in a snow covered IGLOO! Tell the truth, the first pic looked a lot like my lake place in Interlachen. No real igloos in Florida.
Hubby is eating ice cream cake... Please no talk about igloos... that will be here before you now it...
Nice, looks like all had a good time And hubby by the looks of things didn't just get his cake, but got to eat it also!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Great party and pictures fannie. Love your yard. Seems odd. We live in warm Florida and have nothing but sand and weeds.
Hubby just read through this entire thread and this is what he wanted to say... thanks for all the birthday wishes and the compliments on the yard, we all work hard on it. As for the hair, images look fuller then they actually are. Thanks guys.
Part Two for Hubby's Bday. When we were young and cute we decided to get married on hubby's birthday. This year we celebrated #36. For those of you who have justed pulled off your socks and are still stuggling with the math, I was 3 when we got married. I really wanted to make his birthday to be special. I know we had a family party and it was great but I wanted to do something that he would REALLY find memorable. So I booked this little gem a 2013 Red Camero convertible. It is amazing! It has POWER everything! It is a joy, a pleasure, SOOO much fun to drive! It hugs the corners and scats when you think about it, no need to ask, it's already gone! My cheeks were sore from smiling so much. I put a Happy Birthday banner on the back of the car and we took off to Prince Edward Island for a couple of days. Folks were wishing him a Happy Birthday all day it was great. We travelled by ferry to the island, we both really like taking the ferry. After an awesome drive we checked in to our hotel. The front desk girl suggested a great place to eat, she was right it was yummy. Then I took hubby toooo... a drive-in, it was so cool. The new owners had restored it back to it's orginal look . This morning after breakfast I took him on a tour of Cows Creamery, best ice cream ever! He had to go back out to the car for something while he was gone I told the manager about it being hubby's Bday. So during the tour the entire group(about 30) sang Happy Brithday to him... he loved it... http://www.cowscreamery.ca/photogallery.php Then we drove across the island to Cavendish(about a 30 minute drive) for a game of glow in the dark mini golf... I let him beat me. Then we went on to Summerside(about another 30 minutes) for sandwiches along the waterfront...nice. Then we took a drive up the Acadian cost to Cape Egmont to check out The Bottle House buldings. http://www.bottlehouses.com/ Then we started home. We took the Confederation Bridge to New Burnswick then took a short cut along the very pretty Amherst Shore, through the Wentworth Valley. Stopped for burgers and fries at a really good fry wagon. After stopping at both son's places to show off the car and take them for a short drive we made it home about 9:00ish...I love road trips and this car was the cherry on top of this trip. I'm beat I going to bed, the car has to be back before 9:00 in the morning and it has been a busy, wonderful couple of days. Night guys.
Well Happy Anniversary! Sounds like you both had a great time! http://video.search.yahoo.com/video...aoqf2rf&pstcat=lifestyle&age=0&fr=oberhp&tt=b
