They'll know who to call when go on their next vacation. Hey Tedy maybe this is the begining of a new job for you, boarding dogs. Oh yeah you've got it made now, when these folks starting telling their friends how you bathed and clipped Maggies claws for free...oh yes, dog owners will be beating a path to your door.
Still waiting to hear how this story ends. Will Griffin and Maggie live happily ever after? Will Tedy go to jail for dog-napping? Will Tedy's neighbor shoot him? Will Tedy's neighbor get sued by Maggie's owner? Will Tedy's neighbor go to jail for animal neglect? Will Griffin and Maggie ever see each other again? Will Tedy's entire house smell like wet dogs the next time it rains? Will Maggie dump Griffin for a cocker spaniel? Will Griffin dump Maggie for a labradoodle? Will Maggie's owners like station wagons? Will Mrs Tedy ever speak to Tedy again if that floor gets messed up one more time? Will Tedy's Cougar ever get restored? Will Tedy ever get untangled after trying to walk three dogs on leashes at the same time? Will Tedy's pooper scooper get all the poop out of the yard before Mrs Tedy goes out barefoot? Will Rascal and Tashi ever figure out that Maggie is the daughter they never had? Will Tedy remember to get a photo for us of three dogs in the back of one wagon? Will a raccoon, squirrel, chipmonk, cat, or mail man ever set foot in Tedy's yard ever again? Will Rascal ever figure out who took his Scooby Snack? Will Rev ever stop buying station wagons? Will Fannie's wagon ever be completed, and just what is her husband's project car that he would rather be working on? Did anyone count the number of dogs in Fannie's picture above and did you notice that if you stare at the girl's hat long enough, it looks like the back end of a zebra?
Maggie is doing great, she clearly is learning a few things from the boys....whether that's good or not is left to be decided. She used to snap when taking a treat, now she does it nice and gentle. And there are a few other things also. She is a shadow, yesterday I puttered around and she was all ways rite there. I painted the furnace oil tank, had to lay down for the bottom and she laid down rite behind me. Griffin just stood there staring at his throw toy and when I went to look for Rascal.... he's inside laying in front of the fan...he hates heat. So I figured on a BBQ pork tenderloin for dinner, I also just charged the camera battery and put it in before I unwrapped the meat for marinade. This is what I turned around to......... I knew there would be 5 mouths to feed so I bout 2, also gona BBQ baked spuds with onions and real garlic chunks, and corn on the cob. I'm sure I'll have a crowd once the BBQ starts Honey Garlic with just a bit of spicy hickory for a 5ish hour marinade. Do ya think the dogs will like some in the kibble?
But Tedy will have some fun teasing the dogs before sharing his dinner.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGeKSiCQkPw
I'ye said it before and I'll say it again--------------- Treat me like a dog and let me moye in with Fat Tedy! And thank goodness Jim68 mentioned station wagons in his questionaire. I nearly forgot what forum I was on! It's great to be back!
HAHAHAHAHAHA You know I went back and looked at the hat! We have three dogs around here and I'm forever scooping...I haven't walked barefoot in my yard for years!
An oldie but one you never get tired of watching Cat!!!!, where ya been, you at home now or still on the road? All ways a plate for you at my house, Cat! I'll make burgers for me and you
Spent all of July and first week of August in central Illinois with family, friends, dogs, and cats. I think the dogs and cat at the two kids where we stayed will miss us most. Man, those burgers look puuurfect.
So I found Maggie's owner and just got off the phone with him. He's waiting for the ferry on the mainland, coming home today........ I'm sure it's gona be real interesting when he come over here and gets her (all of us are gona miss her) He was shocked to say the least! He was even getting worried as the alleged dog sitter stopped returning text and phone messages and coincidently that happened at the same time I took Maggie. I started my hunt today to find the owner as there has been no interest from the sitter about Maggie period for...... I did not want her to be kenneled witch around these parts, if you phone in the pound will come and take that's it period. I took a gamble and called her rabies tag phone number, explained everything, and the lady took my name and number and said she would contact the owner. I got a phone call in 10 minutes. Pritty amazing the owner is coming back today, the day I start looking for him. Very grateful towards me but he's mad, real mad! Gona be very interesting when he comes over and greats the so called friend.
I am interested to see how this goes Tedy, please keep us in the loop. I'm not nosey just have an inquiring mind.
What a small world, and now we wonder if Maggie and Griffin remembered each other even though it's been over a year and a half. Part of our adoption with Griffin was that he had to attend obedient classes and Maggie was in the same class. Deb attended those classes and her and Larry, Maggie's owner recognized each other A very grateful owner showed up and you could tell that Maggie was ecstatic! Larry is pretty F'n ticked and on top of all that, Turns out the sitter was a friend of his X-wife and came with high reference. Maggie was left with her dog bed, toys, food dishes witch we never got or knew about. Amazingly every one came home kinda late from the house that Maggie was in so she never got her things before going home home. When they did finally come home I was still working on the fence and stuff nobody would make eye contact with me and they just disappeared into the house for the night. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when Larry gets Maggie's stuff back! Larry offered us $ so I wiped out the raffle tickets for the VW Bug for ... http://www.gsrbc.com/ There is another sad story about "Cassidy" who was removed from a bad place in need of serious health care. Any way, Maggie went back to a clearly good home and we all miss her already. The Boys..... they just were not the same after she left and I even have to say that the house feels kinda empty.
Sounds like a happy ending. Thanks for keeping us posted Tedy. I hope Maggie will be back to visit some time in the future.
