My '56 Plymouth is off to the paint and body shop! I took it there this past Sunday (11 Jan) and it's scheduled out around March first. I'm getting the quarters smoothed out, the rockers worked, and the whole car sanded, primed and sealed in epoxy primer. There are a couple of small rust areas elsewhere that will be taken care of, too. Once it gets home, I'll get the car wired up, install the '69 440 and automatic, swap the steering (Firebird subframed) to a rack and pinion, and get it running for the Summer. I don't want to leave it in primer more than a year or so before it gets painted in the original turquoise.
Too cool, that's a major step. My car's been in epoxy for two years and the stuff is tough, no rust dares to form underneath it. Maybe mine will be painted before yours, but with a daughter starting college I don't know if it will ever be painted. I would try the brush technique but the metallic would be a little tough to lay down evenly with a brush.

Great to see it progress.. I'm waiting on my garage before I can paint my 65 Caddy. We will all be envious when you get it back and we only have cars in primer.. Cheers Dyna
Man, you had something real to start with, huh?!! Looks great! So it was a 2-door to start with. Didn't know they were made.
UPDATE!!! Here it is as of this afternoon, 8 Feb, and she's coming along nicely! Just have the right side to finish up now! No, I'm not doing the work - I don't have that kind of talent! Shouldn't be long now before I get to bring it home and introduce it to the '69 440 that awaits! Click on the pic and you can see a few others, too.
