I've ever been immersed in Canadian-isms like this before.

So, on the Edsel, why is the driver's side headlight blue? I've seen this once before, on the Fury Squad Car in "The California Kid" is there a reason for the one mis-colored light?

It was a common thing to have a rusty headlamp bucket and it would let dirt into the bucket and then when the dirt would get wet from a rain it would blow out the headlight and cause it to turn blue....you can also purchase yellow fog lights that are the same size as the headlamp and install them in the headlamp bucket...I think I remember seeing in the movie the different colored light now.. Will have to watch for it next time I watch the movie....If you enjoy old car movie's one I enjoy is called Moonshine Highway...I think it is the 1992 version...

While your holding a Canadian-ism session, you otta show our southern friends a picture of those headlight bubble protectors. I think only Alberta, BC and Saskabush drivers had them.

I haven't seen those since the 80's. :biglaugh:

Son of a gun! You restored my faith in die-hard collecting! :biglaugh:

For you warm-weather folks, they have lots of gravel roads in the North Country up here. When those logging trucks run down a road, the sh!t hits the fan, the headlights and the glass shops are always busy. And you can't slow down and back off, because they come right up behind ya and when they pass ya, you can't see diddly. So you carry about 6 gallons of Windshield washer fluid. Good thing its cheap. Those headlight protectors keep you legal, even though the headlights are useless behind one of those rigs.

Princess Auto's head office was on Princess Street here in the Peg, in the historic warehouse district. They moved out to Transcona (East side of the city) and have their main store and fabricating lines out there. I thought Acklands was big in BC. They used to carry them too, IIRC?

This is like Therapy for a car diet! You have to face your addictions, right? Keep 'em coming! Makes me feel like a whimp! Gets under -25C and I barely go out. Here you are just rollin' in the fields! I guess the ladies are right - all men are dogs, we like rollin' in the hay, the snow... :biglaugh::biglaugh:
