caught a couple of shots of the kids in the third row seat. Looks like these could be from 1967. In black and white....
Doc , this sure is some motivation to get my bedliner sprayed in the foot well area of mine so I can istall the seatbelts and take the kids out for a ride. Yours looks cool and how did you get those photos to look "period" correct? Is there a setting on your camera for "70's snap shots".
Actually there is editing software on my HTC phone that I used to make it look washed out or circa 1967.
Yes,,,,Yes! Everyone is on me about the wheels...lol I have aquired 3 OEM wheel covers, although they are only driver quality I will use them for now. Also i have found 3 mid 90's Grand Marquis steelies so far. I have some other options for finding the forth one.
Those Ford 6 1/2 by 15 rims are still available new, for about $45 a piece. I just had a thought for another neat look for the wagon, and it is period correct. Magnum 500s are available in the right size, offset and bolt pattern. Wheel Vintiqies makes them. Not cheap but not full on budget breakers either. They would look neat of a wagon! Another period correct option is to go with the classic Cragar 5 spoke. One of my neighbours has them on his 67 Galaxie 500 coupe. Looks terrific and just right.
Great to see when I came back that you had not lost your vision for the car. It looks great! Question. I searched the thread, but found no reference to the brakes on the car. Could you elaborate? Disc versus Drum. I thought I saw power. Did you upgrade? Oh, and if your interested, I took dog dishes off the 67 Ranch Wagon. Probably not right for a Country Squire though. I got 4 hubcaps off the Country Sedan too. But they are not the red jewel ones. Just a thought.
Ouch! I just found out that Webshots which I have used over the last 6 years as my picture host is shutting down in the next month or so. I am assuming once that happens, every single link that I have for most of my pictures through webshots on my restoration will no longer work!!:banghead3: Does anyone have any ideas for me! I would hate to loose the pictures in the forum. Although I can download back all of my pictures from webshots, Its going to be tough to recall which pictures were posted. Also, it appears that the older posts cannot be edited, so I see no way to post new links to the correct pictures even if I wanted to. Thanks, DrB
I am half way through changing the picture links in each post that I had pictures in. As you can see, any of the prior posts that were copies of my original picture posts no longer work. I cannot edit anyone's posts that contain broken links. Sorry!
geez Brian...i hope you get that all figured out....it would be a shame to lose all that ! email Steph and see if he can help
Fully charged and cleared the AC system yesterday. We have cold air in the 67 wagon! That was a very rare option. Tuning the motor and have a few other issues that need attention: Nuetral saftey switch: repaired AC system : repaired Fuel gauge: not ready to drop fuel tank (we track 200 mi per tank) stock AM/FM Radio: added ipod jack works well, radio not so good Rear dual exhaust: cut too short with added fumes low beams : hit the ground
