Wagons in vintage Street scenes

What often happened was the metal gate was used over several years, until the body shell changed, but the trim and lights were changed each year to keep them current with the sedan counterparts.

I had never seen a 1961 Buick Special wagon. It was a cute little car! Perhaps a little too small for the growing families who would have wanted to buy it.

A vintage trusty wagon and boat photo.

Dear fans of vintage station wagon photos,

The two photos of wagons pulling boats reminded me I have a family photo that is now old enough to be called vintage:



This 1972 photo shows my 1965 Buick wagon when it was in family service pulling our 14 foot powerboat named "La Belle Poulette." The boat's name is a play on the name of a revered sailboat still commissioned in the French Navy Le Belle Poule.
