Hey guys! Ive been scouring the internet trying to find a replacement glass run channel for my 69 Bonneville Station Wagon. The only thing i have been able to come across is universal stuff. The run channel on this car has a chrome accent piece that runs with the rubber around the door frame but i cannot locate anyone who has this. Anyone help putting me in the right direction would muchly be appreciated!

Perhaps those who know do not subscribe to the instant gratification syndrome and only read the forum on their own schedule.

You may find that there are not that many people here with G.M. wagons of this generation. If they have not been on line, they may well not have any clue this question has been asked. They may also be looking into answers for you. Plus, out of the 8,000 or so members of the forum, there are only about 50 or 60 who reply regularly, so the others are not likely to see this thread in a hurry. Patience is a virtue. Also, if you want quick answers, be prepared to give them should a question arise to which you have an answer.

Thanks mikeT. I feel the same that many of the wagon owners on this site have late models. I believe that the BOP and chevy full size wagons do have a lot of parts that interchange between them. I know they all share a common roof except the vista cruisers but the doors all seem relatively the same except for of course again the vista cruiser. Ill just keep looking and if worse come to worst ill get the Jc Whitney universals but I REALLY don't wanna go that direction.

A picture of the part you are looking for might help stir some thoughts.

    Try Einstyn.

Dear F1zzy and GM wagon fans,

Try this company with the funny name:

    http://einstyn.com/einstyn-wagon-parts.htm

He may have the reproduction you need. I just got a seal from him and am waiting for the body shop to put it on. Just looking at it, it looks very well made. I was going to post a review on this forum as soon as I could see how the installation went.

    Cheers, Edouard

There is a bit more to it than that. Yes, the Chev and Pontiac wagons used the same window, but only for this generation. That would be the 68 - 70 wagons only. I believe the 67 and earlier used a different door, although I may be wrong and interchangeability may go back as far as 65. During these years, Olds did not offer a full sized wagon at all, and Buick, only in 1970. The Buick Special and Olds F85 used a different door completely, being based on the mid-sized platform. The Vista Cruiser and Sportwagon used that same front door, I believe. The rear doors were lengthened versions of the mid-sized wagon back doors. This really limits who on here is likely to have had to find the part you are looking for, and if they don't happen to have been on, it may take time to get an answer. These are not the most common of wagons, anyway, being well into their 5th decade, and the survival rate is not all that great for most wagon models.
