A couple of things with this one. First, it is a unibody. It looks solid, but check for rust which can affect the structure. It is also not exactly small, being the mid-sized Plymouth. It still weighs coming up towards 3,800 pounds, and is about 17 feet long. It is also a heater delete car, so adding a heater means finding a donor car. It also does not have a/c, so you'll have to source that too. The Unibody could also make it difficult to put onto a truck chassis.
I paid $2800 for my 67 Belvedere wagon a couple years ago, and I think mine is in a little better shape than this one. I would guess maybe $2000 at the most (unless its got a big block under the hood which is unlikely).
Wow a picture with no tall grass............. I would only be leary of the time spent in Hawaii. No offence intended to the people or that beautiful state but just about every car I have come across from there had rust in the most obscure places that are very difficult to remove and keep out of the seams. An unfortunate problem for all coastal cars. A good looking Plymouth body style though.
I rarely look at anything without an asking price on it. I figure it's too much. I would enjoy the ride there just to look at it where it is located.
I've only seen a few vintage 60's and 70's cars that were sold new in Hawaii, but every one of them that I've seen were heater delete cars. This one may have been sold new in Hawaii too, though the ad doest say that.
There are a few PT Cruiser woodies in our little town. I always think of them being termite free. But probably not rust free. They sure added the accessories.
Ah Yes, But I believe when the newer PT Cruisers had termites it was a more modern GMO (genetically modified) termite that only ate the soft wood trim.
