Well sorta. I have an excuse. I have an eye that I have ben treating over a year and a half. Regularly put several kinds of drops in it. But watching the farmer Dodge commercial my eyes seemed damper than normal.
It also proves that a great commercial doesn't have to overpower us with fast talkin and fancy cars.
I rarely brag about newer vehicles but the new red Dodge quad cab I bought back in 2004 has been every bit what they advertised it. Even the stinking fuel mileage is slightly better than listed.
I still haven't looked at any of the other commercials. Just had to check that one after all the comments here.
The sad part of this is we are loosing the American farmer just like we are loosing the steel workers, auto workers, and so on.
It's hard to keep em down on the farm after they've seen Parie'.

There's a Kansas City connection to that commercial - at :34 seconds into the commercial you see the guy who raised the Clydesdale driving on a bridge approaching the city - that's actually Kansas City and he's driving on the Broadway Bridge, the same route I take each morning to work. The farm scene was filmed in Boonville, MO about 100 miles east of KC.

Cat.. you are SO right! I had a 2005 Dodge quad cab/ HEMI and I MISS HER!! Yes.. it was a her. Her name was Bluebell.
    ..A moment... I need a moment....
    Sigh
OK. I LOVE Doge trucks because they seem to embody the quiet but unstoppable can-do American spirit that is dying in front of our very eyes. I grew up among farmers. Good people, SOLID people. THe kind that took adversity in stride and kept on plugging.
Where is the America that had shining eyes and broad shoulders?
    Where?

Okay, Cat, you mentioned the song, but do you actually KNOW it? Melody and words, that is? Haven't heard it is years! Oh, and yes, I do have the sheep music for it.

This was a few years before my time. Maybe Silverfox remembers seeing it live!:rofl2:
DocZombie, I don't know why but I never got in the habit of naming my vehicles. Sometimes I called them names. But that's another story!
