Hi wagon guys, started feeling guilty drinking your beer, viewing your add's and listening in on your conversation's. Bought myself a 1977 Pontiac Astre Safari , it's not in too bad a shape, drivable, yellow and all mine:banana: There is a lot i need to do to it to bring it back to life and lots i want to do. Now that i finally have my first wagon, i realize my first thoughts are to get another! This is the part i don't get. Instead of another mini wagon, i think the big wagons are too cool. Some of the wagons on here, (well all of them ) are great looking cruisers. I'm in trouble.

Haha, good to see a sense of humor . Sorry about the info, was just trying to log in first, I'll get it updated eventually and yes pictures as well. Did you mean Vegavair Bob ? I don't know him but sure has a couple beauties in his stable.
Welcome. That has the iron block poncho 4 cylinder? Way nicer than a Pinto and it won't explode and go up in flames if you stare at the rear end too hard.
It was the first year they used the iron duke. Unfortunately the original was trashed and sent to the scrapyard. I'm going to try a 3.8 v6 swap. I love the look of the car so I'll try to keep looking as original as possible , just upgrade the engine. I've already changed my mind a dozen times but I did commit and buy a donor car with a 3.8 , so we have a start.
Welcome to the forums. Please take a look here on posting pictures. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9
Welcome to the nut house. It sounds like you will fit in just fine around here. Wagons are a healthy addiction, that's for sure! I only wish I had one, but circumstances keep saying I don't get one. YET. Great idea to put the V-6 under that hood. it will really bring that wagon of yours to life. If finding a good rear wheel drive 3.8 donor is too difficult, you will find it much easier to find a good 305 V-8 donor car. That engine snuggles right in, too, since it was a factory option in some of the later versions of that platform. When it comes to the bigger wagons, you will LOVE the way they drive. There is nothing like them in the world. I wonder how many wagons you will end up owning. You could be the G.M. version of The Rev. Take a look at his pictures for inspiration!
