I'll pass on your best to Ma when I talk with her tomorrow. She is doing much better already. Arthur is back on the road already. The biggest part of the job was waiting for the part. It seems they had to get one in from Montreal.

One of the first things for my "new" 77 LTD II....

Went to a Pull-A-Part about a month ago to get some coil springs from a 79 TBird that I can use on my wagon to lower it a little. While there, I saw some old style Turbine wheels on a Bronco II. I knew the lug pattern matched, figured the backspace would work, but could only find 3 rims. Went back last week, walked around looking in trunks, truck beds, vans etc for that 4th rim. Was about to give up, went back to the Bronco II, and just happened to look under the car next to it. There sat my 4th wheel. Doh! So, here's a before & after pic of my wheel clean-up. They are 15x7. Hope to post pics in a couple of weeks with them mounted on new tires.

Screw duct tape, allways have a roll of "tuck" tape around also, it will stick under water.

All shop vacked out, fan blowing and a heater in the back.....what a stupid design for the heater, would not suprize me if the guy at GM designed his own house and put a roof vent in at the bottom of a valley!

You might want to check for obstructions (leaves and debris) in the cowl. If it is engineered at all like a Ford, there are drains built in to carry the water away. They can plug and cause leaks and/or rust holes to form making this a permanent problem. Hopefully it is only some gunk blocking a drain. Good luck!

Due to the enlarged V8 in the Pacer I'm now incorporating the"mist system" I saw on you tube used on RV's,,, hopefully when in a high heat cruise I can run all the cooling fans (3) and spray the radiator with mist of water... claim is; it brings down temp by 30*????? less than $100
I try sometimes even if it seems wrong!

Not sure about 30*, but IMO it should help.......back in the day old rigs and logging trucks had a drip system for water on the brakes...

Well, thanks heavens you found it inside, dry, and ready to use again.

By the way, A/C isn't that expensive and sure is a lot easier to keep the car cool than carrying that fan, and a super long extension cord, around :162:

YAY! I've been wondering when we would hear more from you about the new Bonney, KK.:D Hope you like that new wagon. I'm glad it's now in Oregon and out of Wisconsin's salt. Maybe that car will now go another 30 years!(y)

Yeah - took me a while to get around to it. Wanted to drive it a bit first, see if there were any other issues. It seems to drive good. Brakes seem real good. Haven't even looked at the power door lock issue - could be only a fuse.

Next improvement is replacement of the rear bumper filler. Then maybe the sound system. Need to take some 'glamour shots', too.

Yup, drove good for me. You have the better 307 in there. Not that it is a tire ripper but it runs better than the later ones. If you give it a rich mix & a few other things it will surprise you for a 307, though. But, then, your MPG will be close to non-existent.:) Yeah the brakes seemed excellent, too. It's a nice car, for sure. Keep at it and it will look like an 81 just off the showroom floor.:yup: Almost does now.(y) I'd love to have it myself.
