Get your motor running....get out on the highway! 85mph starts today. Too bad it's a toll road, but still, wheee!!! Will make getting from Austin to San Antonio more fun. http://abcnews.go.com/US/speeding-texas-85-mph-highway-opens/story?id=17549839 -Mike
Dude, that would be so awesome. Have fun, be safe and think of the rest of us as you throttle through eighty MPH...
Wow, you guys are laid back on your side of the border....... before I read Dewey's post I figured 115-120 at the least.....seems to be how people except things like this.... Orthmann........words well said
In Utah going 9 over is pretty much the norm, I generally only go about 4 over at most, I like my spotless driving record. Worked hard to keep my nose clean and I'm never in a hurry.
I know right! My daily driver is a Toyota Tacoma which is mostly invisible to the law, the wagon just screams "pull me over" so I am super slow driver when I roll her out. Getting her in paint really helped with being stopped...weird.
What a happy thought. Now those same idiots who can't judge distance or control their cars at 45 will be doing it at 85+. Happy trails Texans.
HAHAHAHAHA How many kids have you got...Wheee indeed...I think not, if momma has anything to say about it... Enjoy the highway...
Looks like the cops had some fun out there prior to opening the road: http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/10/25/car-hits-220-mph-on-new-texas-highway/
It's worth $6 and change to get from Austin to San Antonio so fast. The only other option, I-35, is always full of cars, and goes through three larger towns, where traffic always slows. The new road goes through the country. It's straight as an arrow and wide open! Welcome to the Texas speedway! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima -Mike
Now Fred Rutherford wants to put his '58 Caballero up against "old man" Ward's '57 Ranch Wagon in a race to the country club down that freeway! So far June is saying no.......! But I'm banking on Eddie Haskell saying something "smart" that'l goad June into changing her mind.
