I've seen a lot of people recommend them but they also said that you should include all the details about your model and options that pass through the dash. (speakers, headlight dimmer sensors, etc.)

I think they'd work well for you. I can't consider them because of the intense heat where I live. Even the website states they can't garrentee against warpage in some areas.

They sure are a quick way to make your dash look like new.

Thanks! Then it seems a good option for 'Adelaide'. I bookemarked their URL for later. Cheers again.

Get some a grade of bondo and redo it yourself

Would it handle the high heat you get in a closed parked car?

I thought about using Bondo, but I used a two-part epoxy instead, when I fitted my front speaker grilles over the old cracked cavities. The rub is replicating the leather grain. It's a tedious job if your in a rush to reinstall it. Even the epoxy hardens too fast to get the 'graining' done. I think I read where someone did the crack filling and did the 'graining' in the vinyl dye coats with fine cheese cloth, by dabbing over the paint/dye coat. The next coat(s) take out the sharp lines of the cheesecloth impressions.

Thanks Franck, and everybody...replacing my dash is on my restoration list for my '75 Caprice. Currently, I have one of those carpet looking covers on top to hide the cracks...and protect it from the sun I suppose too. :)

Not feeling too comfortable about the Bondo option. The dash cover seems reasonably priced and considering the time involved to do the job (no dismantling) I shall stick to that. Thanks - Don't expect any pictures or feed back though.... the chevy is third on the list of cars to be taken care of. Sometime in 2009 hopefully!
