...of how to help prevent car collisions with deer. She called a talk radio show in Fargo, ND with her suggestion....here's a clip of her call.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI8UPHMzZm8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Oh Dear Deer The lady is briliant! My only problem listening to this video was my wife laughing too loud and too much! I'm glad the guys at the radio station are going to follow through. We have too many deer/car accidents here where we live and I just realize most are right near those danged deer crossing signs. Only 6 or 8 miles south is a high school and plenty of school crossing signs and blinking yeller lights. Seems so easy to just move all those deer crossing signs down by the schools. We need more women drivers like her here in Florida. Be glad when she retires and moves down here.
Come on Rev, this is serious. Everyone knows most deer can't read. Reindeer can, of course. But they only travel down here around Christmas. Deer look at those deer pictures and follow in the direction the black pictures are pointed. Weren't you watching those deer at those crossings? Geeez!
I never once doubted the size of her school bus! I question what she was doing during all of those classes! Kinda also makes me wonder what color her hair is!
Maybe we can get her to start an effort to move all those "Watch For Falling Rocks" signs. Always seem to be set up near tall cliffs of some sort. If they moved the signs to level ground, the rocks wouldn't have so far to fall, and we wouldn't be worried about them.
There's gotta be a joke here someplace. Sadly blondie seemed really serious. Notice I am asuming she is a blonde. I believe she lives in Minnesota or one of those foregien countries up there. Do they have cliffs in Minnesota? I can't remember. I remember mosquetos the size of dive bombers.
KRASH needs to call that radio station and give the male point of view and his suggestions on those boulder signs too. Might be a possiblity to make one big SCHOOL CROSSING, DEER CROSSING, BOULDER CROSSING sign for each school zone everywhere. It would save a lot of money and cut down on all those ugly signs in the country cluttering up the scenery. That way the kids could watch out for drivers like them and those kids and the deer could hopefully avoid runaway boulders.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Picture this: 1:55 a.m. Dove Creek, Colorado, snowing lightly, I'm going 65 mph on a two lane highway in my 93 Chryser Concorde...an entire heard of mule deer on the highway, on coming lane full to the double yellow, in my lane they are just left of the white line, I have no time to brake and the road is wet, I grit my teeth and look for an opening...a hundred yards of unscathed deer later, I missed them all. To this day I have no idea how I got so lucky.
Indeed Xav! The power of future awesomeness protected me from ending up in the middle of nowhere with a deer in my lap.
