    That is because it is a 1964 Chevrolet. It appears from the side moldings, that it is a Bel Air. The Impala has the full moldings around the cove on the side. The tail lamps on the station wagon are rectangular, whereas, the other cars all used a round tail lamp. The back up lights were installed in the lower license plate panel, and also are rectangular.

    That wagon is obviously something done up for a print ad or a TV commercial. Studios modify a regular vehicle so you don't identify it as a particular make. Volkswagen did this a lot in their ads, particularly when comparing their 'bus' to regular station wagons.

    Looks to me like it started out as a '63 Bel Air.....not sure though.

    I was saying that the one with the rectangular taillights is a 1964. The one in this post, is definitely a doctored photo. Look at how the rear has been cut and pasted in. Where the original picture came from would help to understand why.

    Just as I thought, this image was originally an ad for the VW bus....
    And Junk, I don't think the photo was 'doctored' I think the whole wagon was doctored......
