Ah yes. One of my favorites. Post #6457.

"Rev loads up the Falcon and takes a trip to the beach. Meanwhile, Saf and Cat wait in anticipation from a safe distance, after chaining the rear axle to the pier, while Tedy takes the pictures. Atop the car are Fannie, Fox, Krash, Dewey, Keys (Xavier) and the rest of the SWF regulars unaware that they are about to get a ride they won't soon forget. "

Caption on the pic: "Next up, traffic gets snarled in 1965 after a truck spilled a load of gravel on the inbound lanes of the San Bernardino Freeway. We’re not sure exactly where on the SBF the shot was taken; anybody recognize the location?"

If you are unfamiliar with LAX, this view is looking east. The main runways at this time are behind the terminal building to the right, running east/west, and also 2 additional runways off to the left, also running east/west. The famous 'space ship' theme building would be behind the camera and slightly off to the left.

    Dodger Stadium, June 1, 1962:

    Caption:
"Or, more appropriately, Chavez Ravine, the site of Dodger Stadium, which opened April 10, 1962, less than two months before this photo – found on the USC Digital Library’s online photo archive – was snapped on June 1, 1962. According to the Dodgers schedule for 1962, the team played a doubleheader in Philadelphia that night, but we know that the Angels used the stadium (calling it Chavez Ravine Stadium) as their home field from 1962 to 1965, and according to the Angels schedule, the Halos hosted the Yankees that evening."
