It's funny, she'll work on them, but she won't wash them. She says "that's a man's job." She does all the cooking, so I can't say too much.

One piece with no heat??? What manner of atypical, evil tailgate was this?

I ordered my engine parts from Summit yesterday after lunch and they arrived today. Those guys are on it. The only part that didn't arrive was the pistons. They said they had 7 of them so they had to come direct from the supplier, which is funny because that's the one part I really needed. The machinist called and said he is ready for the .30 over pistons. They should be here the middle of next week.

The pistons got here today. I'm going to take them to the machine shop tomorrow so he can measure them and bore the block.

i bought them for my old daily 76 lesabre and ended up using the car for a pan donor for a 74 ragtop before the weatherstrips ever left the package. i have no more post cars.

looks like they will have a loving home if he decides he wants them.

Hey guys, sorry for not responding, especially to the great offer. The guy machining my engine parts has really been dragging his feet so I've been trying to stay away from anything-wagon lately because if I start getting impatient I'll end up calling the guy and he's the type of older guy that if you call him he'll get mad and just end up taking longer.

I really appreciate the offer and would definitely accept the door seals. Since my plan is to paint the car a different color I'm going to have to replace all the rubber seals in the car. Well, the ones that are available anyway. I, like I'm sure everyone else on here, REALLY wish someone made rear window seals for these cars. Mine are in rough shape and I'm afraid if I even touch them to try to remove them they'll disintegrate.

Does anyone know what tool is required to remove the window trim from around the windshield and rear side windows. I'm going to remove mine to fix rust/leak issues.

Hopefully this guy will hurry up and get to it. It surely can't take too much longer.

hey, as soon as you PM me your mailing address the door weatherstrips will be on their way.
i might have to remove them from the original package in order to get them into something the post office will charge less for.

most machinists are flakey and slow.
im pretty lucky. i have one that has a shop 2 miles from my house.he is very prompt and his prices are pretty reasonable.

if you buy an actual GM service manual, it will have pictures of assorted tools speacially made for various tasks.

The windshield moldings pop off the nylon clip fairly easily. A standard trim tool, like a small pickle fork, will pop it right off. Just be gentle, as the trim bends if you look at it funny. I have also used a wide, thin flat screwdriver.
