Today I replaced all three belts. The AC belt was too short, so I had to drive 10 miles to Autozone for one that was 1" longer.
I found that someone had used a piece of wire to hold the HVAC blend door in the heater position, so I removed the wire and now I have some A/C, though it doesn't blow as hard (or cold) as it should.
I think that if I have the system sucked out and new refrigerant added, it will be colder, then I'll have to work on finding the restriction.
Tomorrow I'll replace the distributor cap, and look at a couple of spark plugs. I still have a rough idle, but that should fix it, I think.
The new carpets are staring at me.....:taz:

Finally found a new rear bumper for one of my wagons- have been looking for it since I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago. Didn't realize finding one would be so hard.
Of course it was wayyy up in northern NH, and I live in the southern part of the state. Got the day off of work and made a road trip of it with my friend.
On the way back got sidetracked by driving up Mt. Washington, had a blast.
Sure beat sitting in cubicle island on a beautiful Monday.
Now to get it cleaned up and mounted.

Nope, I bought all 5 for $15. I would pass the good deal onto someone on here if they wanted them. Tires were used for 100 miles and then removed off another car and I bought them for $60 for a pair. A case of beer for one center cap, bought one off ebay for $30. So I have roughly $130 in the entire setup right now. I got $30 worth of enjoyment out of them. HOWEVER, my son LOVES the Rally wheels. So, I might have to buy two more new tires and put all four of them on for awhile. I like the look, but I am a fan of the Torq Thrusts. But, sometimes change is good.

after loaning my 62 Poncho out for tow car duties during Goodguys here in Washington.... washed old Margie, the second time in 20 years it had been washed.

Need to source a replacement carpet set, and see about getting the seats re-stitched, cloth thread is breaking down. Source a windshield and order a weatherstrip from Steel Rubber Products and windshield clips

LOL, my wife says it looks like I should have a full head of grey hair, bifocals and a walker in the back. No offense to the distinguished gentleman on this site. I am debating what to do for next weekend. We have our hometown car show. Stock class or modified? Decisions decisions. I am liking the Rally's, the rest of the car is stock so why not stock whels and the stock class.

You mean you don't fit the above description? If not, just wait a while, it won't take long, and then you'll wish you'd of kept those wheels so you didn't look like some older guy trying to look young and not doing it very well. None of the rest of us do, at least. Or let me say most of us...........

After market wheels are really neat, but IMHO, everyone else is doing that. Just to be different it seems all it takes is a really nicely done set of stock wheels, the deluxe ones usually but that is owner dependant. You go to a show and after the first 20, 30 or 50 cars with similar style wheels you come across a very nice car with stock wheels and it catches your eye.

After torque thrust 1's and 2's, coke bottle American's, chrome reverse with baby moons, Pontiac ralley II's and steelies with small hubcaps, and several other attempts at a good looking wheel, I put a set of stock appearing roadmaster wire wheels on the wagon. The car just came alive.

I have a grey goatie, but that's about all of the description I have covered. And I agree that sometimes less is more. The photo shoot guy liked the rally wheels as they did not draw all of your attention. He said the car made you look at it, not the wheels and the mags actually overpowered the appeal of the car.

At least do me a favor... If you remove the Buick rallys, put them away in a safe place for awhile. One thing is CERTAIN, you will get older; distinguished is up to you.

And I say this because I think you have THE nicest wagon on the forum.

Yep, my point exactly, the car is the star and you aren't adding anything with the other wheels, IMHO you are taking away from the overall impact of the car. It makes such a statement/impact in the pics with the Rally's...............but, it is your car, you have to live with it, and so does your wife.
