Shure.....we belive ya.....others mite not.....but weeeeee believe ya...... A pic of Cat's red truck, after leaving the "drug store, for old people", for his 1000 mile trip, or should we say "trip out"?
Come on Fat Tedy. You know Florida is a drug free state ! Except a drug store on every corner and a BBQ joint on the other side.
Riiiighttt....the DRUG store for old people. uhuh. What scares me...Cat is going on vacation to Peoria (who goes to Peoria for a vacation??) which means he will only be 250 miles away from me!! WAY too close!!
Remember the old saying IF IT PLAYS IN PEORIA IT WILL PLAY ANYWHERE. So I'm gonna play in Peoria. Actually slightly south of there.
I didn't know if you knew that or not. I was going to mention that. I was in the ad biz for 30 years....Peoria was considered to be the perfect test site for new products. Thought to be a perfect example of mid America. So.....people like YOU were responsible for bringing us all those products we didn't want!
Hey....I hope you have a good vacation and a safe trip this time around, Cat. Be sure and text me every 10 minutes or so while driving so I know you are OK.
But only text while doing 100MPH, while out running the cops....with your... "old poeples drugs" Have a safe and fun trip Cat Still only 70 degree, but 74% humidity here. no clouds over our house but in the distance we keep hearing thunder again, and thers ugly black clouds coming our way. One of the Rec centers is having a out doors concert tonite, expecting 12-14000 people.... won't that be fun in a thunder storm.......
Peoria, Illinois, not Peoria, Arizona, was known for many things. Not all good. It was also the Hooker capitol for a long time in the 50-60's. I have to take other's word for that. I was just a kid. Even several cars, farm equipment and a washing machine were made in Peoria. Yes, those big yeller worms too. I was across and down stream a piece. Youze guys are gonna have to teach me to text. I only know how to dial and talk on our cell phones. Can't even figure how to answer or check messages. I'm still used to those old wooden wall phones.
I am getting SO sick of this!!! Into the hundreds today again and at 9PM it was still 90 degrees! This is getting ridiculous!!!
We were at 95 for a high today here in beautiful Coweta County, GA. I spent an hour this morning in the attic working on assembling my new mac daddy TV antenna until I realized I was getting all wobblety and was soaked in sweat and came down. Will have to finish up on another early AM up there. Then like I think 1tireman said, "If its free, its for me!", I'll be getting TV again without paying the ridiculous cable charges!
This is really unusual for Wisconsin. We have beautiful Summers with nice nights and nice days. We usually get one or maybe two weeks of heat that creeps into the 90's but that's it. This really IS a heat wave. And it has lasted WAY beyond my patience!
WELL, with Christmas just 5 months away, if you are really bothered by the heat wave, there is always this to watch from time to time to put things in to perspective http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=xkk7DX0l95A&Lid=12
For me there hasn't been a winter since the two feet that fell overnight on Joplin back in 2011. The weather was pretty nice til the latter parts of May. From then on til around November it never got below the 90 degree and got as hot as 112 with the humidity and lack of a breeze making it that much more unbearable. The most snow we saw was about an inch and a half and it was fgone by the next morning. I loathe heat with a furious passion. So does Zoe. We love it around 50 - 60 degrees with 70s being hot... Many times have I thought back to that two feet of snow with a smile. My dad once told me something that his dad told him. • If it's hot man wants it cold. If it's cold man wants it hot. Whatever it is, man wants it not. Basically I make a great effort to try to know what I want and deal with the rest. It's a pain in the @$$. But autumn isn't too far away and I am looking forward to what should be my first real winter since 1990.
