OK, how the heck did I miss this? We were at Roslyn, saw the wagon way over on the other end and by the time we did our walk about it must have been headed to its new home as I would never have walked past it without stopping to oogle/drool.

Great find. You are fortunate to have a friend who finds you wagons when you need them (well, one at least).

Does this mean you are going to pull a vintage trailer with it? That would be great.

We went from Roslyn on Sunday down past Yakima and over to Mossy Rock. Traveled with others also towing vintage trailers. We were surprised at the number of vintage trailers in yards between Roslyn (and around Roslyn-Cle-Elum area) and Mossy Rock.

Hopefully next year we will have the wagon doing tow duty again.

I found an ad on http://classiccars.com/listing-2650...-sale-in-south-cle-elum-washington-98943.html when the original owners' family tried to sell it in 2007. The person who listed the car for her put that it had 127,000 miles in the ad. As far as I can tell the daughter painted the car in 1975 when she got it from her dad, according to the title it had 15,000 miles when she got it. The last oil change sticker shows that it had 18,901 miles in 1976, It was parked not long after that since the last tabs were 1976. The car drives like a new car with no squeaks or rattles and is too original to have over 100k. I would love to see some more pictures of the car where it had sat in the garage all of that time if your buddy has them.

We were up there on Friday and left that evening, Sorry we missed you, I think we are going to add a tow hitch to tow a vintage trailer, it has a 3.56 Traction-lock rear end so it would tow real nice. I think we are going to find a smaller vintage trailer since ours is 24' and weighs over 5000lbs. We are going up to Deming campout in Aug. and Tin Can Tourist Lynden Rally in Sept. with our Boles-Aero and might bring the wagon up there too. We'll See you There!!!

We will be at both of those as well at the one in Wenatchee the second weekend of August. Then a bunch of us will head up to Deming, getting there late Sunday or more likely Monday.

Look forward to meeting you there. We should have our '57 wagon there barring any surprises.

Did I happen to note in my previous post what an outstanding, good looking, youthful guy REV is? Tall, muscular, sauve, quiet, humble. Great guy.....you'll know who he is as soon as you see him walking around.

I had the pleasure of seeing Bill's wagon in person this past weekend at the Vintage trailer campout in Deming, WA. What a beauty. He wasn't even out of the car and the crowd had started and people from all over the campground were heading his way. I'm sure it was a bit disconcerting to look out and see this group of people rapidly descending on him.

All weekend there were people over looking at the car, asking questions, and I'm sure by now he is a bit tuckered from the constant attention.

On Saturday evening a fellow camper brought his '63 Country Squire over and a very large crowd did a comparison, pictures were taken by many, and all in all the general conclusion is that this is truly a 27,000 mile car, it is a real beauty.

I suspect he will once again have to spend a big chunk of his time Friday night at the Lynden gathering answering questions. He will sadly miss the Saturday evening "wagon-off" that is generally held but we will put a picture of his car in the field beside the other cars, if he brings one ;).

Seeing his wagon, and having seen a couple of others just in the Pacific North West this past two years that have come out of hiding, I'm convinced that there are still quite a few older wagons, low mileage, well cared for and loved very much, tucked away for the rest of us to discover.

Congrats Bill, you have a tremendous car. Don't let someone talk you out of it. Money disappears fast but the loss of the car never goes away.

It was great talking to you Safari57, we had fun bringing the wagon, even though it isn't ready to tow a Vintage trailer yet. I'm surprised at the attention that it had received all weekend, it was even used as a backdrop for someone's Rockabilly/Greaser wedding photos! We got to crash their wedding party. I look forward to bringing it to the Tin Can Tourist Rally in Lynden,Wa in Sept.

Word has it that the wedding reception was not going well until the bridesmaids came out and asked the vintage trailer folks to come and show them how to party. A live band and no one dancing, the bride was very disappointed. Then the vintage trailer folks showed up and the party became a PARTAYH extraordinaire :thumbs2:. Your wagon fit right in to the theme, and apparently so do you guys as well. Us older folks :162:, you know, the ones who could have bought your wagon new, were all in bed in our little old trailers while you young folks partied the night away:clap:. Good on you for helping a bride have the kind of reception she had envisioned. Of course the free wine must have helped significantly. See you at Lynden.
