Dave - I'll talk to the club guys and see who is around in August. It is usually a pretty hectic month with Tin Can Tourist outing at Deming, WA the 3rd weekend so we get there on the Monday prior, and the weekend after is the car run/camp out by the Bellingham Elites so many stay for that, too. Then there's a vintage Airstream outing the weekend before Deming in the Wenatchee area as well as the JJ's car and camp out event at Rockport/Concrete, WA, that happens in August this year instead of end of July as in the past. We are also thinking of trying to get a car club camp out for the Mission, BC area.

I will ask though as I know there will be interest. When exactly is it?

I'll see what I can dig up for pics of the club cars - don't have them all in pics but quite a few. Thanks for asking, always happy to show off our herd.

Very nice stuff, what are all of you using for a hitch? and shocks, springs ect. would love to get a 70s Airstream but i don't think the hitch on the Merc will handle the weight. Was going to put airshock's on but not sure if that's the way to go.

I don't really have to beef anything up since it's a 13 footer.. I think the trailer is about 1200 lbs total... so tongue weight is not bad.. I was thinking about air shocks too just to firm things up if need be. Of course a hitch rated for whatever you're pulling is important.

I'm sure with the bigger trailers a little suspension stiffening might help as well as making sure you're cooling system is up to par.

I'd love a Classic Winnebago.. you know the "Box on Wheels" say 72 - 78 vintage... about a 20 footer... How sweet that would be.. then I could haul the wagon behind it..

But thinking about it.. I'd rather have the wagon/trailer setup.. just looks cooler out on the road.
