    Stopping distance demonstration?

    This photo reminded me of something I witnessed when I was a kid in elementary school. The local police (or maybe CHP) put on a safety demonstration on the school playground. It included a car getting up to maybe 45mph then slamming on the brakes, to show how long it takes a vehicle to stop. Skid marks were measured, like in the phoot. Did some other stuff too, but the details are lost in the haze...

    Mess? No, I don't think so. I'll take every one of those cars in the photo, and even the tow truck. Lots of convertibles and wagons too. Me like.

    Then theres the Ford tow truck and you can see the front fender of a 65 Skylark, but theres two cars I can't see enough of to identify.

    But, take away the gas station and it could look alot like Rev's driveway (or my own).
