Just found you guys. I love old Wagons. Bought an '83 Malibu 305/350. Great body but the engine was replaced half-assed when the original one blew. In the process of swapping in a' 86 5.7/700R4. This is my daily driver. I am partial to Chevy just because that is what I have the most experience with but I love any old car, especially wagons. Missed an opportunity a few years ago to purchase a '70 Vista Cruiser that had been cloned into a 442! Ex-wife wouldn't let me.:banghead3: Anyway, I will be driving you guys crazy with questions and comments so get ready.
Glad to see another G body wagon in the group...now let's see some pics of that transplant operation!
I'll do my best to answer any question you may have...now that I have that "BB" thing figured out I'm all set. Drive them crazy, I'm afraid you are much to late for that! Welcome to the forums
jderek. All the good lines are already taken. You don't have to be crazy to fit in here, but it helps. I'm with you I kinda know a little more about Chevys than those other things. But like women, love them all.
Welcom JD- These folks will be a big help if you need anything. And do not let them fool you, they only act crazy.
My plan for now is to get it running again and back on the road. I want to swap the rear doors out with some from a Sedan with roll up windows. Swap in a Grand-Prix or Bonneville dash. I hate the little gauge box they stuck on these things. Bring the suspension up to date. Sway bars for sure. Add a little more power and posi rear. Basically it's a Daily Driver so it's gotta be able to hang with what's out there now. For now it's all junk yard stuff and planing.
