Of course the dogs in the back aren't mine, but Brian is a Jack Russel mix, Sadie is a Black Lab mix, Indiana is a Golden Retriever, and Lani is a Yellow Lab. Toby, the goofy one in the center, is a Meth Lab mix.
For your convenience, heres a visual guide to identifying the different breeds of Labs.

Yes, I know. And the first time my family saw it, they noticed right away that the Yellow Lab in the picture looked just like Lani, and the Meth Lab in the picture looked just like Toby. Toby has a good heart, but we all think he could be slightly brain damaged. He's a couple fries short of a Happy Meal.
Oh,and I think I hijacked the thread. Sorry. Now back to your reglarly scheduled program.

Thanks for the kind words, dented! I've been to many car forums and was amazed when I found this one. It's not about who's best it's about that common thread...love for station wagons. We understand the love here because we "get it". The wagon comes from back when life was good and families had a need for the wagon. We "get" that and we love wagons and what they represent. Not to mention that they are the Great American Car! Not everyone wants to own certain wagons but we will respect those that do because we can relate to the feeling they have owning the wagon that they want. No one slams anyone here. We all have a common love and we all understand that. I feel fortunate to have found this place. I thought I was the only guy that loved wagons until I found this forum. Then...I found that all wagon owners here feel just like I do about them. It's not about personalities, it's all about the wagons.

I think we all share your sentiments, DF. I, for one, don't do a lot of web surfing and, short of our own family website, this is the only one I hang out in. It's great having so many good people who share the love of station wagons. Heaven knows we get enough ribbing from those folks that don't, (which seems to be almost everyone I know), so it's fun to be able to chat with such a cool group who know the long roof is the only way to go.

First offer I ever had on my wagon was to make it a derby car, the guy offered me $1500.00 saying these unibody mopars make the best derby cars ever. I actually got a lump in my throat when I thought about my baby being smashed up by drunken red necks...as I choked up a bit and said "I'm gonna save this one Bubba".

I know that lump in the throat feeling. It turned into Zoe and me crying like babies as we watched our old Merc being towed away. The guy with the tow truck was so confused and uncomfortable. He actually said that it was just an old clunker, just a car. Finally before he left and looking especially uneasy as our poor wagon was hooked up he said that it was probably for the best and that he he was sorry and then left...That is something I never want to go through again... ever!

Geez Xav, that would be tough. I love the movie Christine right up to the point where the bullies beat that Fairlane to pieces...If you ever put everything you had into building a car that scene is just plain hard to watch.

Even if you just love and appreciate cars that scene is hard to watch. What added insult to injury for us was later we found out that we could have saved it easily... :cussing: Hindsight is a B!t*h!

I bet you were ready to :boxing: when he said he was going to turn your wagon into a derby car!
