Yeah....I'm concerned. Wixy hasn't been around for awhile and that's not like him.

Hi guys, it has been a while. Not much work done on my wagon. Moved last month, been working a lot, and I don't have internet yet. I will get my mojo back soon, and knock out some more work on the Buick. :thumbs2:

Hopefully all of the stuff you've been doing is done with and you can get back to sharing your project progress with the rest us. Really enjoy seeing what you've accomplished.

Hope all is well, and Merry Christmas, David. 2012 is going to be a fantastic year, I just know it!

Hey y'all! Happy New Year! I finally got something done on the Buick. Yesterday and today was great weather, so I worked the roof and reprimed it. I will work the rest of the body when I get a few days off, and get back on track with this thing. When the hail damage first occured, I didn't think it would get me down. But the truth is, it really discouraged me more than I thought it would. Add a few other curve balls to the mix, and here I am in year 3 of this project! Oh well, thanks for hanging in there with me, guys! David :)

David, James 1, 2-4 for some inspiration:
2 Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.
    You are proof of this.
Don't get discouraged, we are all with you.

I was looking through this posting and am uber-impressed with this project. Wix, that is some great work you re doing! I was sorry to hear about the hail damage from last year. That can't be too common in Dallas for that time of year.

I can relate to both the car and to storm damage. My 72 Electra 4-door hardtop has the same lines and interior as yours, so seeing all the interior work on yours is familiar territory. The rear door on my 225 also got hammered in an October storm when an oak limb came through the window and bent the sill. Replaceable but a hastle.

Hope you get your damage fixed. Looking forward to updates.

    Keep the faith...

Great to get an update Wix. No wonder you're a bit discouraged, with the hail damage and all, but I've seen your determination and commitment to the Buick, so I know you'll get back to it. Keep it up. We're all in your corner.

Wow! Thanks guys! Those sure are some nice posts y'all sent me. And Firehaus, your message really touched me. I don't think anyone has ever quoted Scripture and said I was and example of it, unless it was about something bad! LOL! :rofl2:

I am actually getting enthused about my Buick again. I just scored some perfect door panels! There are only a few items I need, and I will have gathered most of the pieces to have a very nice interior. My original dash pad is perfect, and I scored an excellent black steering wheel, perfect black seat belts. All of the other interior parts will either be painted or reupholstered, but, to me, no matter how nice everything is in a car, if the dash, wheel, belts and armrests are shabby, the whole thing looks bad. My new parts are primo! I also hope to be getting new side glass from a buddy that is parting out a Buick coupe. My glass is less than wonderful, and his is quite nice. We will see.

    David :)
