On the 74 Matador wagon: I installed a aftermarket Temp-gauge into the bezel where a clock would be.
Found a reason for the heater fan not to blow enough, ( abanded mouse house):taz:
Dual exhaust installed last week,, 2.5 pipe with Full Bore brand mufflers( sounds like GTO)
    Transmission cooler added this week..

I installed a steering box form a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee in my eagle today. I'm sure the engineers at Saginaw were real proud of themselves when they developed a steering box that takes little to no effort to turn the tires. I however, I like steering with a little more resistance. Based on some internet research, I found out a steering box from 93-98 Jeep Grand Cherokees have a similar steering radius, but with a faster ratio and greater effort. I removed a steering box from a 98 Jeep Cherokee at the junkyard a couple months ago. Mine was loose and leaking. I finally had the time to tackle this. It is a direct bolt in. Everything externally is the same. I am very satisfied with the results. Steering seems stiffer like a sports car and I don't feel like a drunk weaving down the road. It might not be for everyone, but if you are looking for more steering effort, it seems like the way to go.

The biggest thing I hated about early Chrysler products was the sensitive steering.

Alot of people use that as a performance steering box. It is very effective for performance and cost. There is also a steering shaft upgrade that is a bit more costly but takes the rag joint out of the equation.

Frame connectors, front floor pans (dang water leaks & factory rubber floor covering). The Arizona sun destroyed the spare tire cover so I spliced two trim pieces to elimanate the side spare well.

well had a great day going got some cleaning in the garage done, started marinating some steaks for dinner, fixed the stereo , replaced the broken air ride cable so the controls work ,put the fan cover back on the a/c unit after i fixed the heater hose, was getting ready to check the brakes when i got an emergency service call from a large customer around 4;30. no problem go take care of the call only a kitchen sink backing up . well here's where murphy's law took over
1- snake's clutch starts to slip with cable in drain line
2- stoppage is in 1st floor of 8 story building pretty soon the kitchen has 2 inches of water in it from overflowing sink thank goodness for shop vacs
3- can't clear stoppage but i can now hear the water draining problem is my snake has punched a hole in the 4" main stack pipe
4- cut out the broken tee and snake the line naturally due to mr murphy;s help the stoppage is almost 100ft down the line. somehow the c/o outside the building won't drain either
5- get the stoppage clear ,repair the stack, clean up and leave about 8:30
6- as i am driving towards the gate i see water in the main road not a good sign
7- another building is backing up yank out all the equipment again and snake the building usually clears within the first 15' of snake not tonight 100' again
8- done pack up again , rough night but i got the steak waiting and i can be home by 10
9- get home sit down for a few miss dinner but the steaks are waiting on the table and i just wanna take a shower
10 - quick shower ask the kid if she wants to shoot some fireworks as were walking out the door wife asks"how was the steak" i don't know haven't eaten them yet, well my 2 dogs started out thier new years happy and fed well 4 new yorks strips waiting for me became thier celebration.
11- made some hot dogs ,watched the ball and passed out happy new year

Here are some pictures of my bumper fillers after I painted them and then a picture of them installed. Also a couple pictures of my air cleaner after I sandblasted it, ordered new stickers and finally one of the car wearing its new wheels. I replaced the coil, distributor today as it was running rough and back firing. Found the points/condensor bad but for $38 I just put in a whole new distributor

I was able to get my wagon up in the air on the jack stands, my jack stands are 2 feet high, so it was a challenge. Now I can drop the tank to clean it out, and start on the brakes.

Last week I actually had to PAY somebody to install a water pump on the Bonneville...blew out the main shaft seal on I-94 near Ann Arbor. I was 60 miles from home and 100 miles from my destination.

SO mad at myself for not replacing that stupid pump when I installed the new timing set a few months ago...

Thought about it some more. Does that count? Discussing plans for a 'midnight raid' to rescue it. Operation "Invade Pigg Penn".
