Well, folks, once the check goes in the mail tomorrow, I will be the proud owner of a '70 Buick Estate wagon. She's not perfect, but how many of them are? Here are the details:
    - two owner California car (current owner bought in '72)
    - 47,000 original miles
    - 455 V8
    - Power windows, locks, seat, steering and brakes
    - AM/FM 8 track
    - Air conditioning
    - Cruise control
    - Tilt wheel
    - 9 passenger
    - Posi trac rearend
    - All original paperwork

New radiator, water pump, master cylinder, windshield and tires.

He said everything works except the rear radio speaker and the cigarette lighter. He said he wasn't sure about the tape player, he never tried it since he bought it in '72.

I'm excited and hope I can get her here by Christmas!

Perfect enough. Vinyl top, power windows, 8-track. I'd be in heaven if I was you!

What a cream puff! I like everything about this car and have always been a fan of the '70s styling. It says "Ranch" down to the dark saddle colored interior (with etched cladding) and that 3rd seat looks nicer than my living room furniture.
Merry Christmas, you're a lucky man!

    Replies are much appreciated

Thanks guys! I appreciate all the congratulatory remarks. I'm thinking this one is a keeper.

This is the worst part about the car. I'm hoping a good body man can repair it without losing the original woodgrain. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

That is a bummer but I could live with it. A set of Riviera "mag" type wheels would be nice too. (put the caps and steel rims into dry storage.)
