1960 ...I would pass on the rims on both cars myself .... and color ..... and skirts ..... other than that the white roofed car looks better than black roof ... but the roof rack looks odd so far forward

Everyone notice that the Parkwood (black roof) has low-sheen (swade, satin) paint and the Brookwood has high-lustre? I was thinking that either one looks acceptable as to sheen.

Getting kind of burnt out on the suede.. or satin look. I know a lot of guys prefer it... I just think a nice glossy paint job really makes a car pop.

Also yeah... that roof rack up front as opposed to sitting in the rear..? Why? It does look a bit odd. :49:

KK, I was thinking the same thing. That steering wheel looks so sharp, especially in front of that classic dash.

Since so many are interested in this steering wheel (try finding on on Ebay for less than $350).. they started making reproductions.. only smaller diameter since the originals are so large. As a matter of fact I think the reproduction units are going for around $350 as well... sigh. Very nice tho'... I like a classic with it's original steering wheel.

I got one hanging on my garage wall .... with two horn rings ...... swapmeet find for forty bucks.

The stock wheels are 17 inches diameter .... the repos are 15 .... due to an obese America I guess.

As long as I stay away from McDonald's I fit behind the 17 incher ok! LOL

I've heard that they made steering wheels so big years ago to assist those drivers that didn't have power steering. Apparently the bigger wheels would give one more leverage. Don't know if there's any truth to it; could just be one of those "urban legends"!

No .... its all about girth! LOL .... just kidding.

My 59 steers great with the 17 .... as in parking, with a small block and NO power steer .... but a 15 incher would probably be unbearable.

Thats where the roofracks went-up front, same with my 59 Pontiac. I love them both-they'll certainly give my son and I some ideas on our 60 Brookwood build this winter. Thanks for posting!
