You would think the shop would have a jig or make up a temporary one to do that?
Maybe they'll learn their lesson when they have to eat the job.
The place will probably tell you that the car shrunk and the radiator is perfect.

I would think so as well, or at least compare the original measurements to the completed job. I am going to take the upper shroud/mounts with me to demonstrate the issue to them, that way then can take the correct measurements, and see the issue I ran into. I almost let it pass, but after looking at the radiator in my other wagon, it is just not acceptable to have to "make do." I'm quite annoyed- but everybody makes mistakes once in awhile, I have my other wagon and my wife's Cobalt to drive, and it's off the road for the winter anyhow. The test will be how they respond to my issue. I'm thinking it should be okay, seeing as they were quite nice when I initially dealt with them.

Been a while since the old girl and I have had the opportunity to spend some quality time together. Dealing with a starter solenoid that has bad noid's and the alternator is not alternating. I'll take the alternator to a shop to have that done and replace the starter with a high torque unit. Also, now that she's put away for the wet season I'll get ready to pop the 8-3/4 rear diff in with the disc brake conversion. Not in any hurry as we have just returned from a camping adventure and are about to head out for another, slightly longer than this last one. We are thinking up to 90 days of warm dry weather camping would be nice so will go do that soon. Real soon. And while we are doing that we will also be hitting salvage yards that are located outside of the rust belt and see what we can find to try to make nice to the wagon after leaving her home alone for such a long time. Wish we could use it instead of the truck for these trips but it just doesn't work for what we are intending to do when not towing.

Will hit it hard come late March and have it ready for summer camping trips by end of April, when the fun season starts here. I'm excited about the rear disc conversion, it will make quite a difference compared to the original manual adjustment drums that have a tendancy to fade under pressure (like, when they are actually needed). Also hope to tackle the interior if time permits. And am on the hunt for the same engine/tranny combo we have in the truck ('05 GM L33HO). It is an outstanding engine and although not a Pontiac engine, it will really bring the '57 in to the world of $6 gas.

Well I've been busy the last few months. I've finally finished the body work on her... Did I say how much I hate block sanding...This car was a nightmare, more lumps and bends than a mountain road!! I put the 4 pt. cage in it this week and got all the body panels back on it. Hopefully I'll be able to send it out for it's black cherry colored paint job soon. I'll have the wiring done in the next few days, then it'll go quick from there and I can start building the 351c motor that's going in it. Happy Holidays to all!!

P.S. I need a rear window hinge (for the hatch glass) if any one knows where I might find one I'd appreciate it... Thanks

Hey Andy, in your pictures, I saw a Fairmont wagon it looks like you were in a junkyard or something... Any chance of seeing if they would have that still? I need rear hatch glass hinges really bad. Let me know, and Thanks

Turns out getting my snows mounted is a no-go as well. I was successful in getting two new wheels from the Chevy Dealer. But when I opened the boxes, one of them looked like it was dropped or something, has a huge flat spot on the edge. Now I get to take that back as well as the radiator. I guess it's not my weekend to work on the cars.

I go to the junkyard less frequently now, but now that I know you're looking I'll keep my eyes open for a set.
I don't think I've seen a set of those yet.
These are for the glass though, right? To be honest, if I did I would probably take the whole tailgate for myself...
You could also try over on foureyedpride.com lots of fox-body guys there.

Pulled the seats and carpet out of the Bonneville yesterday.
The floor pans are perfect; gotta love those desert cars!

I also test-fit the console mounting brackets. Will check the console location/fit one more time before I weld the brackets to the floor.

The TH350 is not shifting very well. Just got a new modulator. I am gonna replace it this week some time.

Not slipping, just not a quick shift. Hopefully this will solve the issue!!!

Yesterday I cut out a huge hole in the passengers side floorboard of a previously done bad patch job..

Pulled the bumper and grill to fix the non-existent signal sockets...

Removed clutch pedal.. since I now have a TH350 in it...

    Started sanding body for primer...
