It's been a while, but better late than never? I've been chipping away at my beater Malibu ("The Bi-Polar Bear"), as time allows (not much). Finally got 8" wheels for the back and put the old 6 inchers up front where they belong. Tucked the bumpers in. Got tired of the crumbling plastic interior and rotten carpet and deleted it. Been playing with the exhaust and power steering pump. Mostly just maintenance.

I'm shopping for a 9" Ford housing, so I can start building a proper rearend for this thing. Once that's in, the fun begins at the track. I have zero faith in that spindly little 10-bolt rear under this 3800 pound car. It's been my daily driver for 15 years now. I'd like to keep that run going, while adding some respectable timeslips to the glovebox. Some day.

Yesterday I drove it all day. It was nice to have it out. Wish I could afford to drive it more often.

Purchased and installed a new battery, it works.
Stuck my newly acquired cargo shade in and open and closed it, then I opened and closed it again, it works too.

I know...pretty exciting stuff, I'll get pics later if I don't fall asleep thinking about it.

Already at the ripe old age of 21 I'm getting forgetful! I was going to change my oil this weekend, and realized when I checked my log I had done it 1,000 miles ago! I guess it can wait a week lol!

Bought the third exterior door handle for it, goes in in the next couple weeks to have them installed and for a good does of oil and winterizing.

Pulled out the driver's side window and wing window for replacement (cracked in several places).

    Welded up a Rocker Panel.

Painted Dash (was real nasty before).

Pulled the instrument panel for clean up and repair...

Oldest son and I took advantage of warmer temps this evening (despite the occasional light drizzle) and changed oil in both Sube wagons.

Next I guess I'm gonna bite the bullet and get a new clutch put in the Legacy next week. :coffee::rolleyes:
