I don't know about you but my wife and I have this little thing about celebrating [to some degree] the birthday of our car. For example, my car's birthday is August 28, 2002. What is your car's or cars' birthday?
I'm thinking it's 4 April 1992 on my truck. I bought the Ranger on the 24th of April. The Tbird is some day June 92.
Since I owned AMC/Ramblers/Nashs all my life we recognize the death of our cars not the B-days. Hummm,, We bought another AMC wagon in Oct. will be delivered on the 12th Nov. and the wife says: leave it stock!! ( felt like Tim the Tool man for a minute)
My OCC's birfday is 1/21/1992, a couple of years she'll be able to drink and smoke, drinks a lot of gas now, no smoke yet...knock on wood. My GTO's is 12/15/1967, she's getting up there, she's been drinking top shelf Ethyl and smoking the tires for a long time. In another 12 years she'll be as old as me.
My plow wagon was made in Feb 1990, other than that I don't know any actual dates. On my birthday in 2004, my Celebrity blew a head gasket due to a blown out radiator. That's what prompted the 3.1 engine swap. Since then it's paid for itself 2 times over in gas savings. Also on my birthday in 2000, my coworker had borrowed one of my trailers and it got destroyed by a gas tanker semi truck. After 3 months battling insurance, it got me a new trailer.
How did you all find out when your car was made? I have no idea, though I guess it was sometime in '87.
