yep, there;s no need to keep you all in the dark.... it is just less spectacular than you might think (or wish)....

Last year I bought a cheap 'winter beater' Peugeot 406 4dr(yes I know; french) on propane just to take me as cheap as possible through the winter, but now only weeks before the yearly inspection it needed 2 other tires and I didn't ant to put money in it. So I searched for another propane car and the cheapest was a so called 'Break' (station wagon).... another Peugeot. Thought it was better to have a 'break' so I can transport the bench seats of the Wildcat to a shop this winter when starting the resto.

It also has a hitch so I can move more stuff (GF is happy also... she thinks we now can get rid of all that 'old car stuff' in garage and haul it one way to a landfill :lolup:)

    '98, black, AC (works :rofl2:), 1800cc:

That's a nice looking little wagon. I am not familiar with Peugeot.

I hope the "1800 cc" that you referenced is the size of the windshield washer fluid tank.

have the same engine in my sedan now...isn't too bad...

    @ 1964countrysedan: :biglaugh::biglaugh::2_thumbs_up_-_anima
@ Fat Tedy: first 3 things I check when buying a winter beater: does it have a running engine? does it move when throttle cable is moved? does the heater works?.... later on I will check for brakes etc
A heat wave here is when we had 27C (80F) for 2 days in a row... so I don't care for AC... more important: can the windows roll down...

@ MotoMike: this is my '68 2dr (430CI)... gets a repaint and the upholstery needs some touch-up

there were 2 french cars here in the very late 70's till the very early 90's

    Renault
    http://catskills.craigslist.org/cto/2613096367.html
    and
    Peugeot
    http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/2636847293.html
and in the 70's there was Citroen but in a very small scale
    and they were bizarre looking!
    http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/cto/2639118632.html
the citroen 2cv was pretty cool though...
    http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/2626893145.html

Peugeot was the most reliable of the 3. and can still be found on craigslist.
the Renaults were pretty crappy. and underpowered save for a few special models. and Citroen is a cult car....but i wouldnt know anything about cult cars!:rofl2:
