Forget the guy in the skirt. I'm looking at the signs over the doors on the bus. Is the translation for the center sets of doors, "You see the exit" ? Thats what it sounds like when I say it out loud.
Last time I was in Los Angeles a few short years ago, there were a ton of these late 40's school busses still in use by the school system.
I thought if we knew where this picture was taken that might help. The way the park doesn't really help as they are park in both directions on the same street. Very relaxed place whereever this is...I goggled uscita(written on the bus). It's Italian, so I guess he/she is a wayward gladiator. Great pictures, I really enjoy looking at them. Didn't mean to poke fun, just an observation. Thanks
Not old but these are the meat and potato busses on my island. Diesel, built for snow/ice hills and windy highways, great rollers when you get them on a a real highway. I see these Sooke busses almost everyday in my erea.
norm or his wife ma know about this one... i can't seem to find any pictures but in mexico, Dina bus co builds the running chassis on the pacific side of the country and the body on the atlantic side. rather than piggy back the chassis's, a person drives each one to the body plant! with goggles being the only protection! this was actually seen in the movie "The Mexican" with brad pitt and julia roberts.
how bout this cuban bus? ...they are called camels odd though.. that looks like an early 90's IH cabover...isn't there and embargo?
From what I have heard, no they can't buy from the USA because of all the political embargo etc, but, they (Cuba) buys from other South American countries. So, yeah I can see a truck like this ending up in Cuba, just from different chanels.
