Wagons in vintage Street scenes

The add is from 1971, so remember it's the same as a stack of late 90s cars today

Dose anyone have any info on ths car?

 

From memory....
'The Wagonmaster' was a 4-engined exibition dragster owned and run by 'TV' Tommy Ivo in the late 60's - early 70's. It had 4 'nailhead' 401 Buick V8's, a pseudo Buick Riviera nose and a back end patterned after a Buick Sportwagon from '69 or so... This was a 4-wheel driven dragster (note the slicks on the front) and produced A LOT of smoke....but not all that much speed, as it was very heavy. The dragster was a modification of an earlier TV Tommy dragster- essentially the same chassis but without the bodywork. You could buy a model of 'The Wagonmaster' back in the day....

 

Yeah, I remember that car. A lot of show and not much go. Sure looked mean in the day, though.
