Speaking of tires, I got 4 brand new ones, (wsw's of course), for my Colony Park last summer. Ever since then, it's had a bit of a vibration at around 65 mph. It was a logisitical nightmare to get the car back to the guy, so I just lived with it until two weeks ago. One of my nephews is a tech in training for a Chevy dealer and works part time at a local garage. The wagon needed a new headlight so I gave it to him to take care of and asked him to rebalance the wheels. Holy cow, what a difference! It rides like brand new again; I got so used to the vibration that I unknowingly would expect it at speed. What a pleasure it is for it not to happen anymore. It makes me remember why I got the CP in the first place.

I had a helper with me to swipe some lug nuts (ok, I swapped them) off the Corvette so I could put the new rear wheels on the wagon. My son enjoyed himself. Also painted the rear wheel wells and worked more on the 3rd seat.

    Edgar had a check-up

Well my 57 has been leaking since it was worked on last year. We had taken it to a local transmission shop that has always handled our classic cars but this is the oldest car we have ever owned. The others were 70's era, plus the shop has been taken over by the orig. owner son......so much for legacy! :banghead3:

Anyway, we had some glowing recomendations to go see them at Lawrence Transmission in the Rexdale area of Toronto Ontario. The owner Chris really knows old transmissions and so we left Edgar with them for a few days of tweak and test: seems to have our troubles fixed! :yippee:

Suffice to say if you live in southern Ontario Canada, and are driving a classic that needs service, I recommend you see them at Lawrence Transmission! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

Would you believe I swapped on the spare just so I could drive the wagon instead of taking the Caprice to get it fixed? :coco:

Lol, that's all pretty funny. I think most of us would have done something similar.

last night i took off the intro wheels and found rear end fluid and metal shavings inside the wheel. so i took the wheels off to have the tires dismounted so i can polish up the wheels . got the new nitto 450's today and dropped the car at the guy who rebuilt the rear to see what's going on

Yeah... bet everyone was looking for a better bumper huh? As an artist, those down turning pipes soooo spoiled the lines of the car.
