    Hello Gang,

I just got my RMW last friday and I am starting into the beautification and customizing process. I was wondering if there is a recommendation of a product or process to remove the 3m Adhesive behind the black rubber trim to leave just the Chrome. I have started but man he must have used heavy duty stuff because half the car was easy and rubbed off, but the other side has proven to be a huge pain. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Also if anyone is in need of the Black Trim to restore please let me know its in good condition.

    Thank-you,
    Kurt :camera:

Don't let the price scare you.:) You can buy these sepratly from any auto suppply shop....they range from $8-15 each where I live and can be used in a variable electric speed dril....Your Drill MUST be varaible speed, you don't want a zillion RPM, or you will melt rather than erase

Found a spot that carries them. They are actually selling for $25 up here. I kinda want to do it this long weekend, so I will pay the $25 and next time figure on finding them cheaper else where. Thank-you, This will save a ton of time. :)

There's some replacement black rubber trim you can apply that's not so tall (thick) as the original stuff. Now, if I can just find that link........

If Hillbilly doesn't buy that trim from you, Kurt...hang on to it. There's always someone here looking for some.

Sorry guys, I haven't been on here in a while, make me an offer hillbilly and its all yours. I do wish to sell it as a lump some, and not piece it out. If you don't want it, it will still be up for grabs. :)

Little Note, the same store carries another brand of the eraser puck for $13.00, and apparently it is a much better product - go figure. I have a little more tape removal on the back so I will put this new puck to the test.

    Hey Kurt

I'll gladly buy that trim from you. The previous owner of my Roadie put screws through several of my trim pieces and I've been looking for some replacements.
